You will learn how to plan a rug- what size & type will fit your needs; what weight wool is best for beginners; how advanced braiders recycle old wool; how to care for braided rugs; what tools you need to get started- and much more.

There's even a fully illustrated plan for building a rug braiding stand. 

This book includes detailed instructions for making the three most popular shapes, oval, circle/round and heart. In making these rugs, you will learn all the neccessary techniques, including counting rows, the T-start, continuous braiding, twice overs, changing color, lacing, skipping, rattailing, and butting. Each of these rugs are shown in full color and includes a row by row color plan. The instructions are accompanied by numerous step by step black & white photographs & illustrations.In addition to the plans for braiding these 3 basic shapes, you will find row by row color plans for braiding 16 other rugs, each shown in color.

This book is in very good preowned condition! The dust jacket show some wear on the edges, but the book itself is clean and unmarked.
