For those of you that are not familiar with who I am, I will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is TODD FEIERTAG. I've been involved with movie posters for the past 47 years, first as a collector and then as a collector/dealer. Personally, movie posters have been a great passion for most of my life. When I started selling posters in 1979 under the business name POSTER CITY, which I still use, I was one of only a handful of people doing this for a living. On MARCH 1, 1997 I conducted a single owner sale at Sotheby's in New York with all of my own material. This turned out to be the most successful movie poster auction of all time. Included in that auction was an original one sheet for the greatest Horror film of all time from 1932 which more than doubled the previous high record for a poster, by selling for an astounding $453,500.00. An auction record which still stands today, more than twelve years later when prices have more than doubled and tripled.
