THE COLOR PURPLE PROGRAM WHOOPI GOLDEBERG OPRAH WINFREY

This is the program given out to audience members when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences screened the beloved film classic THE COLOR PURPLE at their Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the AMPAS headquarters in Beverly Hills on June 25, 2007 as part of their Great To Be Nominated screening series that featured a showing of every Best Picture Oscar nominee that received the most nominations in its year but did not win. This special program features a collection of publicity stills from the film. The other side of the program features 1985 Oscar facts and statistics, a run-down of that night's program and a detailed list of credits and historical tidbits and insights about THE COLOR PURPLE, which starred, of course, WHOOPI GOLDEBERG, OPRAH WINFREY and DANNY GLOVER. This program is a must for any GOLDBERG, WINFREY, GLOVER or classic movie fan.
