 George J. Whyte-Melville (1821-1878) was a Scottish novelist of the sporting field, soldier and gentleman who died in 1878 in a terrible accident whilst out hunting.

Black leather spine and corners, gilt lettering and decoration to spine, green cloth boards, marble end papers, gilt top page edges.

 Condition : Spine a little shelf faded, spine ends, corners and edges a little rubbed, pages a little age toned with the odd brown spot, no inscriptions.
