Inspired from the pages of the Marvel Comics Universe we present The Thing Legendary Scale Bust. Sideshow Collectibles & Marvel Comics are proud to unleash Ole' Blue Eyes~The Thing character for the Marvel Legendary Scale Bust Series. The Sideshow Collectibles Design & Development Team have faithfully captured the Rock Hard Attitude of Benjamin Grimm.
Growing up in a rough neighborhood on NYC'S lower East Side, Benjamin Grimm relied on street smarts and had little need for school studies. His tough street scrapper upbringing translated into success on the football field that earned him a full scholarship to Empire State University. It was there that he met his lifelong friend, Reed Richards. When Reed shared his dream of building a space rocket, Ben joked that he would be the guy to fly it! As fate would have it, Ben became an Air Force test pilot & Reed built his rocket ship. Along with Reed's girlfriend, Sue Storm and her brother Johnny, Ben and Reed launched the rocket into space where they encountered a Cosmic Storm. The four passengers aboard were subjected to Cosmic Radiation which altered their DNA structure. The rays had given each of them a different superhero ability, thus dubbing themselves The Fantastic Four! Poor Ben inherited a monstrous appearance with hard rock-like orange skin. To offset his appearance, he gained super human strength and near invulnerability. Ashamed of his disfigurement, he chose his superhero title as The Thing. He easily became one of the Marvel Comic Universes' most recognizable and beloved characters-an orange rock hard, wisecrackin' hero with a heart of gold!
The Thing has been expertly crafted in this 1/2 scale bust, outfitted in his iconic orange Rock Hard skin, along with his piercing blue eyes!
This amazing bust is produced in a super low edition number of only 250 pieces worldwide & completely Sold Out at Sideshow. So don't be left standing in the path of Ben's rage for not capturing him for your Fantastic Four Collection.The Thing Bust is hand cast in high quality polystone, hand painted & finished to exacting standards which Sideshow is famous for. Ben's Bust dimensions are 10"H X 12"W X 9"D overall & weighs approximately 14 lbs. boxed.

All domestic orders will ship UPS Ground. For this Auction the winning bidder agrees to pay $29.95 for shipping & handling(insurance included)to anywhere in the continental United States. Alaska and Hawaii have additional shipping charges. For international shipping please contact us for pricing information. Multiple auctions won may be combined at a reduced shipping charge. Some items due to their size and weight can not be combined.
For all US buyers, if your purchased items are damaged or lost during shipment, we will send all necessary documentation to file a claim with the specified carrier(UPS). *Shipping & Insurance charges are not refundable.
