An attractive and desirable map of The Caribbean Sea and the West Indies including Cuba, Jamaica, Porto Rico, Southern Florida and the Keys, Bahamas, Barbados etc. Enhanced by original full hand colouring and attractive green rope motif border. 

Interesting annotations classify the island groups and the European powers who possessed them at that time.

Initially drawn up and registered by Tanner in 1834 (so dated in the plate) and here published in the 1845 edition of his "New Universal Atlas".

 A very scarce map.

 Fine condition save the occasional spot of browning. `The original colour remains bright and fresh. No folds, blank verso, printed on heavy grade paper.
