Synopsis
Lynn Morley and her best friend Marjorie Beasley (better known as Mouse) are convinced that Lynn's elderly neighbor, Mrs. Tuggle, is a witch. The girls' curiosity turns to fear when they realize that Mrs. Tuggle has some sort of mind control over Lynn's older sister, Judith, and seems to be drawing her into a witch's coven. Could Mrs. Tuggle really be a witch, or are Lynn and Mouse's beliefs just the result of what Lynn's parents call her "overactive imagination"? This is the first in a series of books about Lynn and Mouse's struggle against Mrs. Tuggle. Other titles in the series are "Witch Water", "The Witch Herself", "The Witch's Eye", "Witch Weed", and "The Witch Returns".
Lynn's growing conviction that her sister is learning witchcraft from a neighbor reaches its peak when Lynn, her sister, and brother are left for a weekend in the neighbor's charge.

CONDITION:   Former library copy has the usual library markings, stamps and labels, etc. Hinges are strong, but gutter is cracked at page 28. Edges rubbed. Slight spine slant. Pages thumbed with fingersmudges.
Dustjacket is priceclipped, in library mylar cover, and taped to boards
