Charming gold+ ruby earrings from a bygone era
These earrings come from a private collection.
These are very interesting, handmade earrings, dating back to the 1950s, set in 24k yellow gold and rubies. They were purchased in an antique store in Delhi, India.
The earrings are sold as a collector's item and are not sold according to their weight or carat weight.
They are unique.

- Very pretty older dangling earrings emulating a pomegranate and its ruby colored seeds with 3 (three) string drops of rubies and gold, a treasure waiting to be discovered.
- Set in 24k gold
- Wire back
- This are unique earrings - they are not sold according to their weight in gold or carat weight in stones - they are SOLD AS-IS!

Most items that we come into contact with every day have been treated in some way; clothes have been dyed, houses have been painted, and most wood has been pressure treated. Gemstones are not any different. When a gemstone is forming deep within the earth, natural heating and pressure occur. In order to bring more gemstones to the public, many companies continue that process with additional heating, pressure, or other treatment techniques. Without treatment techniques, only the very, very wealthy would be able to afford the wide range of colored gemstones created by nature. It is estimated that up to 80% of all gemstones have been treated in some way. This is the best we can describe these colors. It is not our fault if you perceive the colors differently or if the colors don't suit you.
The visual sensation of color is very subjective. Each person experiences the sensation of color differently because many variables influence our color perception. Even if we did all see color the same way, we would still interpret and describe it differently based upon our individual life experience.

- These earrings are a great find - their origin is Delhi, India. They come from a private collection.
- If you are looking for something special for the special someone these are it. The earrings are not sold according to their weight, carat size or grading of the stones but as unique designer items. Earrings are sold AS-IS!
- If you go to an antiques dealer (whether in Paris or in NY)- please compare prices. You cannot find much for $800. This is NOT a new item but it dates to the 1950s and comes from India. What you pay for, is the uniqueness of the item which at times is not understood on eBay.
