This is part of a batch of about 60 78s that i will have listed this week. I am not a 78s expert, but have been dealing with records for many years. Instead of trying to learn the 78 grading system and cause a problem with the experts, I will use a regular vinyl grading system. Basically, I am only listing things in the range from VG++ to VG-. VG++ will only be used for the best 78s in this batch with only the lightest surface scuffs, otherwise very shiny and unplayed. Some may call this NM-, but I am being overly cautious. VG+ means there are minor surface marks. VG will have more noise from regular use but not major and VG- will have more marks that will appear deeper, or have more overall wear. Labels graded similarly, VG+ being clean, VG having minor wear and VG- showing more damage. Anything serious in either area will be noted.

I am a conscientious seller and these gradings are visual, but to be sure, I have made mp3s of both sides in their entirety of each record. These recordings are from the actual record auctioned. I made them using a portable Vestax turntable. Because of this, certain ones sound inferior to what they would be like on a proper 78 system, particularly when you consider different needles for different 78 labels. I do not believe this needle damaged the records at all and by the same token, it does not capture the best sound quality possible for every record.  You should use this as a guide though and if there is a record you are interested in, please listen all the way through. Shipping is $5 media mail for one 78 in the US. All will be packaged in 4 layers of cardboard and taped, then packed in a box with padding such as bubble wrap or peanuts. All records over $25 need to be insured in the US. I will charge the actual insurance cost to your order. Overseas, shipping will be a flat $15 for the first record. If you are in Canada or Mexico, I will charge a fair rate slightly above the US rate. Other arrangements and shipping requirements can be made if necessary, but I am very concerned that records arrive safely and intact, so I feel charging for the additional services is worth it. I prefer overseas orders to be registered, but that's up to the buyer, who makes the decision on cost. Refunds not given if insurance is declined or packages have a problem that could have been prevented with insurance or registering. Basically I am just trying to protect both of us. I have great customer service and impeccable feedback and intend to keep it that way. Again, email with any questions.
