On their soundtrack to Edward Burns' film "She's The One," Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers are as sharp as ever, executing smart, expertly crafted pop tunes studded with sparkling hooks and concise, memorable lyrics. The opener, "Walls (Circus)," sets the tone with twangy guitar and staccato '60s-style organ adorning an impossibly catchy song of love and acceptance that is philosophical yet totally unpretentious. From there, Petty and band glide easily from the raucous rave-up of "Zero From Outer Space" to the heart-stoppingly beautiful, acoustic guitar-driven "Angel Dream" (presented in two different versions).
Petty is a connoisseur of rock and roll, and he proves it here with two brilliantly chosen cover tunes: Lucinda Williams' "Changed The Locks" (curiously retitled to the present-tense "Change The Locks") and Beck's "A******." Petty stakes his claim to both with the help of his stalwart bandmates. Anyone who has ever appreciated Petty's songwriting gifts and the Heartbreakers' empathic accompaniment should receive this offering with open arms.

I will combine your wins to save on shipping, but with a few minor courtesy rules please:

  • Only one payment for the whole batch.

    CD's may or may not have bar codes hole punched on back insert, or other form of cutout marking. Pictures, Stock Pictures, bar codes, and/or track listings might vary slightly from the description or pre-filled section. Any questions or concerns, (especially if you are a "collector" who will get all twisted up in a knot about this), ask before bidding, and I'll do my best to get back to you promptly.

    CDs shipped IN Jewelcases: $4.99 for up to two CD's, and $2.00 for EACH additional CD after that.
    CDs shipped WITHOUT Jewelcases: $3.99 for the first 2 discs then $1.00 for EACH extra disc.

    Canada:
    CDs shipped IN Jewelcases: $2.99 for the first CD, and $2.00 for EACH additional CD.
    CDs shipped WITHOUT Jewelcases: $2.99 for the first 2 discs, then $1.00 for EACH extra disc.
    INTERNATIONAL (anywhere else besides USA/Canada):
    CDs shipped IN Jewelcases: $7.99 for first CD and $5 for each additional disc
    CDs shipped WITHOUT Jewelcases: $5.99 for first 2 discs and $2.00 for EACH extra disc.
    Regarding the No-Jewelcase Option:
  • If you want this option please tell me and I will invoice you directly upon request.
  • This plan excludes Digicase CD's, box sets and DVD's
  • This option is based on the actual number of discs (a double CD counts as 2 discs)

    All Box Sets are on an item by item basis. Mixing CD's/DVD's/LP's is OK, but each is treated at their own rate table, for example 1 cd & 1 DVD is the rate for one of each of these added together)

    Shipping & handling includes postage, supplies, and all costs of selling online,including delivery to the post office. If you do not agree with or understand this I ask you not to bid, as these rates are not negotiable.
