THIS IS A SEVEN-DAY, NO RESERVE, AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION.

About Jacono pipes:

Jacono pipes were almost never made. Tonino Jacono, maker of the highly desired Jacono pipes, smoked his first pipe while he was enrolled in a university in Italy. After some frustrating smoking sessions, Jacono disgustedly threw away both the tobacco and the pipe.

After his college days, Jacono became involved in the briar business through his wife’s family. He made smoking accessories, trinkets and earrings before he decided to learn to make pipes. He picked up pipe smoking again so he could discover what made a good smoking pipe.

For more than 20 years, Jacono has carved pipes using only Calabrian briar, which he considers superior to all other briar. Believing it easier to follow the grain of the briar carving by hand, Jacono uses few tools. The quality of his work is universally recognized and he has twice won Best Pipe of Show at the Deep South Classic Pipe Show.

The Jacono grading system is based on chess pieces. Jacono pipes are currently graded as follows: Knight, Knight E (both rusticated); Bishop 1 to 6 (semi-rusticated); Rook; Jack; Queen (alone, then E and EE for better examples); and finally, King (alone and with a single E).

About this beautiful Jacono Pipe:

You are bidding on a fairly lightly formerly enjoyed hand carved "Canted Chubby Dublin" shaped pipe by the Italian pipe artist Tonino Jacono. The grade is a "Queen".  Jacono pipes are very well respected in the pipe collecting community. This beautiful hand crafted pipe is both wonderfully carved and s strongly straight grained. The engineering is perfect. A pipe cleaner will easily pass to the bottom of the bowl. The performance qualities of Tonino’s pipes are amazing. These pipes rarely are offered for sale on eBay. Please don't miss this opportunity!

Here are the dimensions of this fabulous pipe: The length is about 6.0". The bowl height is about 2.0". The tobacco chamber is about 0.85" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.45" inner depth. Capacity is similar to that of a Group 5 to 6 size Dunhill pipe. This wonderful  pipe weighs 61 grams. The original Jacono pipe sleeve that is pictured below is included.

I have lightly but carefully and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, rejuvenated, and polished this pipe to an absolutely pristine and issue free condition (With the exception of some minor inner rim scorching on the front of the bowl.) both inside and out. The hand cut black acrylic stem, with its beautiful boxwood inlay trim band,  is free from any tooth marks or scratches. It is truly ready to deliver immediate enjoyment right out of the box.

Once again, this is a seven-day no reserve pipe auction. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high bidder to own and enjoy this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with bidding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high bidder at the close of this auction, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection!

Please read and review my eBay ratings and comments. Check out the "ME" section after my eBay name "coopersark". I think that you will find this information very informative and telling! Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions that you may have about this pipe. I want you to bid with the highest of confidence!

I use only the best of packaging materials. The pipes that I ship have too much time and labor lavished on their restoration and presentations as well as the many of these pipes are irreplaceable works of art. I am not going to risk damage by using lesser packing. (In my nine years of selling pipes on eBay and shipping thousands of pipes around the world, not a single pipe has been damaged!) I also try my utmost to ship your pipe the same day that I receive your payment, even if this means making a special trip to the Post Office just for you alone. The Registered parcels that ship overseas take extensive time with both the packaging and four forms of documentation that must be filled out. Unfortunately, this all has to be reflected in my shipping costs, so please bid accordingly.

The winning bidder will include an additional $10.00 for Priority Mail shipping, tracking, and insurance. (Foreign bidders will include an additional $12.00 for International Air Mail shipping.) Thank you for your interest. Please do not forget to check out my other auctions! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
