Darkened Attic Surface Aged Patina

Held Together with the Original Square Nails (2 sizes)

Oxidation Around the Nails

 Box Measures Approximately 15 1/2" long x 7" wide x 5 3/8" tall

~This is the oldest, darkest patina boxes I've come across yet!!  I found it at a barn sale her in Central Maine over the summer.  Not sure what it was originally used for...my guess is tools, but now would be absolutely perfect to house soap, your whisk broom collection, woodenware, or fabric covered books!  Has the best old square nails...in 2 sizes.  It looks like there was a thin coat of something...polly?...applied to it when it was made, many moons ago, & has since dulled down.  There are some some cracks & splits around the nails here & there from the age...drying out & such, but is extremely solid!  I took a bunch of pics for you to see the box for the best description.  If you have any questions or would like to see more photos, don't hesitate to ask.  It has a TON of character.  You are sure to LOVE this early box!~
