THIS IS A TUNGAR BATTERY CHARGER MADE BY GENERAL ELECTRIC IN 1924. CATALOG # 277153. IT PLUGS IN TO 115 VOLTS A.C. AND HAS 3 OUTPUTS ( A ( B ) BATTERY OUTPUT, A 6 VOLTS 2AMP OUTPUT, AND A 2/4 VOLTS OUTPUT 1AMP. ALL OUTPUTS ARE D.C.. THE ( B ) BATTERY OUTPUT IS 60 VOLTS D.C.THE UNIT WORKS FINE. IT WEIGHS 11 POUNDS. THE METAL NAMEPLATE READS AS FOLLOWS, { TUNGAR REG. IN US. PAT. OFFICE.BATTERY CHARGER BY G.E. CAT # 227153 VOLTS A.C. 115, 48 CELLS .25 AMP, 3 CELLS 2 AMP.] the small writting on the nameplate  says, { The sale of the bulb of this rectifier by the General Electric company carries with it a license under all claims United States patents which the General Electric company owns. or which it is entitled to grant such a license which claims cover the bulb as such as well as a license to use the bulb in a licensed rectifier outfit manufactured by the General Electric company or any manufacturer licensed under the General Electric company's United States patents to make such rectifiers. except to this extent no license is granted or implied under any patent claim covering the bulb or its use in combination with or as an element of any system or process or for use in or with an unlicensed rectifier outfit or portion there of further no license is granted to use this bulb for telegraph telephone or radio purposes. which however donot include the mere charging of storage batteries.

     The bulb is not licensed to be re-exausted  refilled or repaired. nor is the patented metal therein contained licensed to be used except in this bulb.
