The design printed on the scarf is called "TUGHRA". Tughra was the official signature used by the Ottoman Sultans. Tughra originally referred to the official mark of a ruler used at the beginning of a document, and later came to mean an emblem done in calligraphy.
On this scarf the design is the "Tughra of Sultan Sulaiman the Magnificent". Tughra is printed on both ends of the rectangular silk scarf symmetrically and surrounded with a border.
This scarf is hand decorated with silk screen printing and hand painted in glittering gold on burgundy.
It comes rectangular in size about 52x16 inch (132 x 40.5 cm.)
Some of my buyers prefer to frame these scarves and use as home decor item.
