Up for auction are two Washington State leather license plates and a pair of antique driving gauntlets, all from the early 1900's. The top plate is in very good condition.. both attaching clip are intact, the plate lays flat, and all stitching is excellent. The 9 and the 0 show no signs of being changed. The bottom plate is in good condition, although a little dirty. The number 3 on the right looks fuzzy in the picture, but it is in the same condition as the rest of the numbers. It is a little warped, and both plates could use a good cleaning. The black driving gauntlets are in mint condition. The upper part of the gloves are wool with no imperfections at all. The bottom of the gloves are soft leather and show no signs of being used. They are lined with a thick flannel material, The long cuffs have no creases or indications of use, and are lined with a rayon type material. Also included are copies of 5 newspaper articles about the original owner of these items, dated May,1925 and November 1935. My dad was a neighbor of the family when he was quite young, and the plates and gloves were given to my Dad by the gentleman's nephew, over 40 years ago, Buyer will pay actual UPS shipping.
