Hi! I’m Susan, Creator of “Designs by Susan”.    It all started over 34 years ago.   I was expecting one of our greatest gifts, yes that’s right,  I was due in December 1975, not the best time of year, I thought, at first.  Yet right then, I made myself a promise, every year from then on, to hand make my own Christmas tree ornaments.  That first year brightly colored simple standards would be perfect.  So I knew they had to be made from felt.  It was important that they would be kid friendly of course. Well 34 ½ years later, now a very proud Grandma, my Christmas trees truly shine with a one of a kind collection of my years of creating something different,  in felt ornaments.  Now I am passing my hand made (mostly, one of a kind) felt ornaments from my home to yours.  My kids encouraged me to put them on eBay.  They said that “they are really in style again”.  I thought to myself, when did they go out of style?  I hope that you enjoy them and remember I am just one person and I am not a factory worker.  They are all different and not all of them are perfect, but they are made with love and they are full of personality.  If you hang them up, I promise you will only see the creative beauty of each and every one.
