Stiff Joints page

This Tai Chi video will first guide you through a gentle and safe warm-up routine. After warming up,
detailed instruction is provided step-by-step in a mirror-likemanner so you will be able to easily follow along with each and every move.
After each move is completed, a demonstration of it will be shown.
The moves are safe and easy to learn. And best of all,
the whole routine can be learned in a very short period of
time!

Included In This Video:
* Warm-up Exercises
* Detailed Instruction
* Demonstrations
* Chi Kung
Also, the practice of Chi Kung is explained and demonstrated.
Many of my students who have learned the forms in this video continue to
use this video to follow along with the warm-up routine and Chi Kung.
Some students have said,"It's like having me in their living room". Finally,
chapters are provided within the video so you can easily choose any section
of the video for viewing. So, if you want to learn a Tai Chi routine
quickly and easily, this is it!
Most Tai Chi videos that you will find available for
sale consist of a long routine made up of many moves. To complete such a
program would depend on good memory skills and a great deal
of patience. Unfortunately, many people purchase Tai Chi
videos without this knowledge or understanding. As a result, it could take
many weeks or perhaps months just to go over the moves. With all good
intentions, as you can imagine, one's interest and momemtum is easily
lost.

TESTIMONIALS
"I'm really looking forward to receiving the new Health Instructional DVD. I can't tell you what a difference Tai Chi has made! When I first started my balance was so bad and my ankles so weak that I sort of stumbled around but now I can and do enjoy walking my shepherd from one to three miles a day and have lost 40 pounds! I practiced both of your videos so faithfully twice a day that I thought I was just doing it by reflex action. I decided to practice the Arthritis and Stiff Joints (which I have lengthened to repetitions of eight steps each way to fit my living room space) and watch the news at the same time. I learned then that Tai Chi is also a mental exercise when the news program ended and I realized that I was so totally concentrating on my balance and movements that I hadn't seen a minute of the program. Thank you for making the videos in such a way they are easy to follow and learn and thank you for introducing me to the benefits of Tai Chi. God Bless!

Hi, Paul! My name is Lynn Ann and I recently purchased 2 of your DVD's from ebay: (1) Sit to Get Fit and (2) Tai Chi for Stiff Joints and Arthritis.
I am a 43-year-old singer/songwriter as well as a part-time secretary. When I was in my early 20's, I was involved in an accident that badly damaged my left ankle. The bottom line is that this ankle never "set" properly. Over the years, my body has been thrown out of proper alignment. Walking and cardio activity have become more and more difficult for me. To top it all off, seven years ago I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, Fibromyalgia and border-line high blood pressure. Severe arthritis in my left ankle and right knee. (Naturally, the right knee pain is a by-product of favoring my deformed left ankle for over 20 years.)
Chronic pain and exhaustion rob life's joy like nothing else can. Music has always been my life. Two years ago, after having been a working musician since I was 15 years old, I simply stopped performing my music in the NYC clubs because the desire to do so gradually faded away. I could not pick up my guitar (much less play it) without pains shooting through my arms, neck and shoulder blades. And because of my ankle, there was no way I could stand up on stage for the 2-hour sets that I have always performed.
I sought counsel from the top joint surgeons in NYC. For my ankle, hideous ankle operations were proposed, for which there was no guarantee of success. I decided against this. I sought relief from the pain and fogginess that is Fibromyalgia. The "medical doctors" felt that I should begin taking Prozac or some other anti-depressants for this condition. I decided against this as well.
At first, depression loomed blackly before me and all I could see in my future was a sedentary life of ever-worsening pain. But something within me clicked and I refused to accept this for myself. I prayed in earnest for help. The answer I received was that I would have to help myself. I have always leaned toward a natural, organic approach to living my life. And so began an intensive research project as to finding relief and renewal, spiritually, holistically and nutritionally.
It has been an ongoing journey. A fascinatingly educational journey. Every day I learn a little more, especially with the internet as an excellent research tool. Yoga has already become a staple in my daily activities. I wanted to add to my daily workout. I took a few beginner Tai Chi classes many years ago and enjoyed them. So Paul, I found you and your DVD's on Ebay doing a simple search under DVD's for "tai chi arthritis." Then I saw your Sit to Get Fit and that looked like a perfect place to begin, so I ordered both - the "sit" and the "arthritis" DVDs. All I can say is that I love them. LOVE THEM! Your instruction is excellent and concise. The "mirror image" is so helpful for learning the proper form. I find myself practicing the seated form during the day when I am stuck at my desk. It rejuvenates my mind, body and spirit! I'm calmer and more focused after only 10 minutes or so.
I feel a wonderful sense of strength in being proactive about my own health. Of utmost importance to me is reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. Staying active and flexible is key - as far as I am concerned, the foundation. It has been a challenge finding effective, low-impact exercise programs to assist me on this journey. Again...your DVD's are miraculous. I have incorporated them with my beginner yoga routines and I am already seeing and feeling tremendous progress. My mindset has improved. My flexibility is back. My ankle and knee pain/stiffness continues to lessen. I can walk for longer distances. My arms no longer hurt when I play guitar. I have more energy.
Most miraculously, I am scheduled to perform my first gig in 2 years at the end of this month and I can't wait to get back up there and sing and play my heart out.
Thank you, Paul. Please know that your work in this field has been instrumental (no pun intended) in getting me back on my feet and becoming myself again.
Love, peace and the very best to you always,
Lynn Ann
Blessings Paul,
What I liked about your instruction was; instead of giving several movements at one time and then reviewing them you took one movement at a time, each time putting the movements together until finally you had all movements down. It is much easier to learn the moves from repetition and adding a new one each time. Hope to purchase some more of your dvd's.

Paul,
Received your DVD quickly. Thanks so much! Today was the first opportunity I had to try it - looks so easy but felt it afterwards (good!) I work out 2 - 3 times a week at Curves - but believe this is using different muscles, etc. I'm looking forward to using this DVD on a regular basis & hopefully it will help the stiffness I have with my arthritis. Thanks again!

Hi
I really wanted to try this type of exercise because I have Lupus. It's pretty well under control but my hands and knees are my problem areas. The first thing that I love about the DVDs is the smooth sounding voice and the gentle background music. It also is the ONLY instructional DVDs that I have found where you don't get confused or frustrated because it's too fast or not explained in a manner that is understandable. I had no trouble with following along or doing the motions. I love the slow fluid way each motion is done and after I finished I felt refreshed and energetic. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate being able purchase such wonderful DVDs. Anyone with Lupus, Arthritis, etc. would benefit from these. I feel so thankful to have found these on Ebay.

Again, thanks for the DVD. I am doing these exercises daily and after only two weeks, I feel a big difference. They help me! I have trouble with my joints, especially, my knees. I had lots of pain just going down the stairs. And already with these simple exercises, I am not telling you that I have no more pain but I can assure you that it is at least half the pain and I am sure that it is getting less and less painful. I recommand this DVD! It does exactly what it is intended for.

Dear Paul,
My husband who is 65 was recently diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Kyphosis...a curvature of the upper spine. He was told by his doctors that he must begin exercising, but to begin very slowly with a gentle routine. I had heard about the benefits of Tai Chi and looked for a DVD for him in our local stores. Nothing. Then I went to Ebay and found Tai Chi for stiff joints and arthritis. The DVD came within 48 hours and my husband and I put it on and began following Paul's instructions. It is not only perfect for us seniors, but our 4 year old granddaughter also enjoys doing the movements with us! I truly believe this program has enriched our lives and will continue to do so for many years to come. When we become proficient with this routine we will definitely purchase more programs from Paul!
Thanks again, Paul, for a WONDERFUL new lifestyle!
Sincerely,
Kris and Mike R.
