25 Large Uncleaned Roman Coins ranging in size from 24 to 28 Millimeters wide. This set is "intact and as found." There are several crusty coins, 2 are holed (they are on either side in the pictures) and there are at least 5 Augustus  either of which are Julia Traducta or Colonia Patricia coins. The Roman imperial ae as was reissued under Augustus during the coin reform starting in 23 BC. Generally produced in copper and weighing ususally between 9 and 10 grams although as years went on they became smaller. Its denomination made it worth a fraction of the sestertius. two and one half asses equaled one sestertius.
