*Tater* Roman Silver Denarius of Titus Tripod & Dolphin

Obverse: IMPTITVSCAESVESPASIANAVGPM , Laureate head right of Titus

Reverse:  TRPIXIMPXVCOSVIIIPP -,Altar with dolphin above

This is a very good and quite desirable example of this Roman Imperial silver denarius . It does have several light scratches on the obverse. It weighs 2.9 grams and is 19 millimeters wide. It is lightly toned and certainly a coin you don't see to often. Good luck!!!!!           Tater

The Roman silver denarius was first struck in 211 b.c. it was the most common denomination of silver coin and was minted until the late 3rd century. Over the years the coins weight  was reduced to around 3 grams.
