Available for purchase is a tea pot teapot with lid by W. S. George China in the Ranchero pattern / shape, in pink with a floral design.
W. S. George was one of many U. S. china and pottery manufacturers who set up shop in the Ohio River area. They operated from the late 1800s through the 1950s. The Ranchero line was done in a variety of solid colors, and many pieces had transfer designs added with various motifs, mostly florals. The Ranchero line was discontinued in the late 1930s, so this teapot would be around 70 years old.
The background color of the teapot is pink, and it has generous gold edge trim. The floral transfer patterns are on both side, and they differ slightly. The photo shows each side.
Condition is very good with no chips or cracks and the gold trim is in very nice shape. Teapot measures 5” in height including the lid, 4 1/4” without the lid, 6” in diameter at the widest point, and 8 ½” total width from handle to spout.
