Album notes
Technotronic includes: Ya-Kid K, MC Eric, Felly (vocals). Additional personnel: Patrick De Meyer (synthesizer); Yannic Fonderie (programming); DJ Seik. Recorded at The Haunted House II, Aalst and Swanyard, London, England. As studio-based dance music dominated the charts in the early '90s, no group was more prominent than Technotronic. Hailing from Belgium, the duo of Ya Kid K and MC Eric stormed the world with three consecutive smash hits. "Pump Up the Jam," "Get Up!," and "Move This" became chart-toppers the world over and are tracks that can still be heard in clubs on any given night. Some of the other killer tracks on this album include "This Beat Is Technotronic," "Come On," and "Tough." PUMP UP THE JAM was one of the pioneering albums of the '90s and helped usher in the popular mainstream sounds of techno and house that followed.
