| | Album notes | Original score composed by Stanley Clarke. For this gritty Walter Hill film about a prison bout between inmates Ving Rhames and Wesley Snipes, the UNDISPUTED soundtrack ended up being guided by the streetwise direction of the Dirty South's own Cash Money Millionaires (AKA Lil Wayne, Big Tymers, Lac and Mikkey). With so much talent coming from south of the Mason-Dixon line, the rhymes roll out in laid-back and low-down manner. Although CMM kick things into the gear with the fierce flow of the title cut, most of the rhymes come out with the consistency of molasses on a hot day. Hick-hopper Bubba Sparxx picks it up a bit with the mid-tempo "Hungry," but otherwise rappers like Lil Wayne ("Real Talk") and Mikkey ("Everyday") are content to roll along loose and lean. Amidst all the testosterone being tossed around are a number of smoother moments rendered by non-members of the Cash Money Millionaires like Carl Thomas (a creamy "How Did I") and soulful sirens Cristina (the heartfelt "Daddy's Little Girl") and Teena Marie (a sleek "Shorty Down"). With big names like Erick Sermon, Petey Pablo, and Trick Days signing onto this crew, any boasts that the Cash Money Millionaires could pull off a soundtrack project will go UNDISPUTED.
