PAYMENTS

PACKING/SHIPPING

All auction items including packing & shipping charges are to be prepaid within 10 days of auction closing.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, bank wire-transfers, COD - certified funds, money orders, cashier's checks, company checks and personal checks. PayPal is accepted but governed by PayPal policies.

We reserve the right to hold shipments paid by company or personal checks until checks clear. Due to the increasing number of "bogus" cashier's checks, it may be necessary to verify the validity of your cashier's check by contacting the issuing bank.

International bidders are required to pay in U.S. Dollars. Money Orders or checks must be payable through a U.S. bank. Payments from certain countries will require a bank wire transfer due to derogatory credit card practices.

Checks/Money Orders must be payable to:    Hart Industries of America, Inc.

An invoice will be provided with every shipment and is either included with the item or is being mailed to you separately.

Almost all units will be packed using foam-in-place with antistatic foil. For heavier pieces we will use double walled boxes (350 lbs test) to insure the safe delivery of your equipment. This packing will be invoiced at cost and is ranging from $ 2.50 for a hand held multi meter to $ 25.00 for larger items. Should the packing exceed $ 25.00 it will be indicated in the listing.

We use all major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Airborne, ABF Freight) and you are paying exactly what it costs to ship your package. It is possible to ship on your carrier account as well (unless it is a COD shipment). A tracking number will be e-mailed once the item has been picked up by the shipping company. 

It is your responsibility to check the unit immediately upon delivery for transportation damage. Should you receive our shipment with an obviously damaged shipping container, please retain all packing material and notify the carrier and us immediately.

WARRANTY

AS-IS

Most items are guaranteed for a period of 30-days after receipt unless otherwise noted in the auction listing or the item is advertised AS-IS. Should a unit fail during the warranty period, we will replace or repair the unit or issue a refund of the purchase price upon receipt of the defective item at our option.

The removal or damage to calibration or warranty seals, will void any warranty or return privileges.

From time to time we will list items in AS-IS condition. This does not necessarily indicate the unit is not operational and below are the reasons why the unit may be listed AS-IS:

    - Not tested due to lack of accessories, manuals or knowledge

    - Man hours for testing would exceed expected sales price

    - Unit has known defects or parts missing as described in the listing

The listing will indicate what tests have been done, any known defects or parts missing. We do not attempt to conceal defects.

CALIBRATION

RETURNS

If the listing indicates, that a calibration is included, the unit will be calibrated by an ISO9002 certified lab prior to shipment. This process will take anywhere from 3 to 7 days and the certificate (NIST traceable) is provided with the equipment.

If a calibration is not included, it still may be available and will be invoiced at cost plus $ 20.00 (for dropping off and picking up). Our calibration prices should be competitive, since we have a blanket contract with the calibration lab.

While we do our utmost to provide an unbiased accurate description about the condition of the unit, your assessment of the condition or appearance may be different. Therefore, if a unit does not meet your expectations, you will have 3 business days to request a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Do not wait weeks to determine, that the piece of equipment is not to your liking, does not go with the other decor in your place or simply you do not like, how the unit is looking at you. It is 3 working days! If you would like a rental for a week or so, let us know and we can provide you with an attractive quote.

SALES TAX

ACCESSORIES

West Virginia bidders are required to pay 6.0% sales tax unless an acceptable resale certificate is provided.

EXPORTS/INTERNATIONAL SALES

END USE CERTIFICATE

If we will export the product, it will indicate this in the listing. If the listing indicates "US Shipment only" it means US shipment only!

All items will be exported in accordance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations. Diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited.

If an export license is required, it may take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks after receipt of your import certificate before the export license is granted and the item can be shipped.

Depending on our source of supply certain items will require an End Use Certificate (EUC) and are sold in the U.S. to U.S. citizen only. The listing will indicate such requirements. By bidding on the item, you are bound by the terms of the EUC. If you do not meet the criteria DO NOT bid on this item.
