Up for auction custom tele guitar that you can convert to a les paul custom project.  This is a beautiful Maple Burl Top with an alder back.  This is truly an incredible body with some wild figure that you will rarely see ever again.  Stained black with some sanding off to reveal some beautiful grain.

This maple top came from my personal stash of high figured lumber.  I buy slab here on ebay cut and slice them up and make these custom bodies.  This guitar will have a great normal tone standard tele type of sound.   If you want a screaming hot tele you will need to add hot pickups.  If you want your tele to sound more like a les paul go with a lower ohm pickup set and you will calm down the brightness of the longer scale guitar neck.  Dimazio has a great site that helps you pick out the tone you are looking for check it out its pretty cool.
