Up for auction here is a Telegraph Key World War II Navy Straight Key CMI-26003A In Original Box. Item is in the original box and appears to be new with no signs of wear or use of any sort. Box has writing that reads RH 16 K1250 1 ea Key 3-55 and Stock No (L) 16-K-2305 Made by Molded Insulation Phila,. PA.
We did find some information online about this key and is below:
Straight key (single, up-and-down action) is the World War II Navy Straight Key. It is identified as a "CMI-26003A", which translates as follows: 'C' for Contracted Out, 'MI' for Molded Insulator (the company that was contracted to make the key), '26' for Straight Telegraph Key, and '003A' for the model number and revision.

A CMI-26003A and a CJB-26003A.
"CMI" denotes the maker Moulded Insulator Co.
"CJB" is the maker J.H.Bunnell.
These keys were once believed to be copies of German Luftwaffe keys. However - a recent blueprint has surfaced showing they are a progression of the Navy _26000 flameproof key. This document is dated Jun 2, 1919 and could be the earliest recorded use of the _26000 numbering scheme. It is now suggested that the Germans copied the Luftwaffe key from the _26003A.
