This auction is for 1 part.
I have a bunch of these, that were left over from a multi-family rummage sale. Some of these were newly installed in an apartment building before a complete remodel was done of the basement. All of the phone, cable & thermostat wiring was removed, so now I have a bunch that didn't sell on last summers rummage. Some of these were used and some were just sitting there with nothing connected.
This is what I was told these do/are used for:
These are 2 line telephone splice junction blocks. They have 2 rows 6 of connectors that do not require any special tools to splice phone wires together. The tabs lift up, and the pair of phone wires goes inside the red & green slots under the tab, then the tab is pushed back down completing the connection. This can be done over and over again (reuseable).
These connections work with analog & digital telephone services.
They are commonly used in basements to join all of the house wires to one central area and make trouble shooting a breeze.
The left side of the block is all connected together, for one line, and the right side is all connnected together for line two, the whole block can be used for one line with the use of a short jumper wire from one side to the other.
The connector tabs have a silicon gel inside of the connectors to provide a water or moisture resistant seal. These blocks can be mounted outdoors but will need a shelter to be housed in (not included).
The block has 2 holes in the center between the connectors for mounting.
From the looks, these appear to be new, but not in any packaging.
I don't want to sell more than one at a time, I don't have too many left, I am enjoying the constant sales.
These are going quick, I have sold on every auction so far.
This item is sold as-is, please bid accordingly.
