Artist's statement:

My very first fiber experiment was simply stitching all kinds of different types of fabrics from the thrift shop together into one big piece.  I was not even aware at the time that I was making a sort of crazy quilt!  Years later, I have cut up my mish mash fabric for the Hot Mama’s body.  She is a woman of a certain age which accounts for her periodic hotness and her fans!

Crazy for Quilts is the third annual contest and fundraiser held by the Alliance for American Quilts.
