| Synopsis | In this high-speed tale of cross-country adventure and intense danger, 14-year-old Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, and siblings Angel and the Gasman have one very unusual thing in common--wings. The six were raised by nefarious scientists as genetic experiments at the oppressive, terrifying "School," where they were each treated to a tiny helping of bird genetics that gave them not only flight, but incredible eyesight and super strength. With help from Jeb, a sympathetic scientist, the six managed to flee, living together in peace and happiness. That is soon shattered when their youngest and dearest member, six-year-old Angel, is kidnapped by Erasers--ferocious, man/wolf agents of the School. Some of the same characters are featured in James Patterson's adult novels WHEN THE WIND BLOWS and THE LAKE HOUSE.
