The Angel Tree. Large Painting on Canvas. I have painted Faith, Hope, Love and Happiness Angels on an old stick Christmas Tree. The Tree is topped with a punched tin star and there are berry and bay leaf garlands in the bucket. Snow has gently fallen on the twig tree and tiny Snowflakes are blowing all around. The Tree has been placed in an old iron bucket and the bucket sits on a prim penny rug. Beside the tree is a grubby candle and a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallos. First I treated the canvas, which measures abour 12" by 15" and is about 1 inch thick. I have applied a special crackle technique to the canvas and then painted the folk design. This might make a nice painting to have for the holidays and all year long. Thank you so much for looking. The design was designed and hand painted by me, Terrye French.
