The Best of Donny & Marie VHS Volumes 1 & 2
Twenty years after the original Donny and Marie show, Marie and I had the opportunity to get together once again on our old sound stage in Utah and look back on some of our favorite clips from all four seasons of the show.
Watching the clips, we were amazed at the caliber of guests, let alone the fun we had working with these legendary celebrities.
Condition: Brand New, Factory Sealed
Volume 1 Includes:
- Singing "The Way We Were" with Andy Williams as we watched clips of the Osmond's debut appearances on his show, including Marie's and mine.
- The hilarious Ruth, Buzzi and Marie "Look-Alike" skit.
- One of our favorite skits with Milton Berle... dressed in drag.
- A classic Paul Lynde routine: The "Sour Grapes" skit.
- The concert segments where "A Little Bit Country & A Little Bit Rock & Roll" was born.
- Marie and I cracking up during the "Perils of Marie" comedy skits.
- Marie's "unique" iceskating (she'll hate me for this!)
- Closing theme song, "May Tomorrow Be A Perfect Day."
- Approx. 60 minutes / Hi-Fi Stereo VHS / © 1997
Watching those clips brought back so many great memories! So join us as Marie and I talk about what it was like to a brother and sister television duo of the 70's. We hope that you have as much fun reminiscing with The Best of Donny and Marie as we did.
Volume 2 Includes:
- Bob Hope's surprise visit to the Donny & Marie set.
- "Captain Purple" and "Wonderful Woman!"
- The "Great Osmondo Magic Box"... Donny splits Marie in half!
- Ted Knight, a personal favorite, makes an appearance in an unforgettable "Tennis Murder" skit.
- Marie's 18th birthday show... an interesting switch for the "A Little Big Country & A Little Bit Rock & Roll" number.
- The extravagant opening production number, "Goin' Places!"
- Donny as the nerdy "Lone Ranger."
- Approx. 60 minutes / Hi-Fi Stereo VHS / © 1997
