THIS BOOKS CONDITION

 

NEW CONDITION refers to a book that is in mint condition. For books with dust jackets it is pristine and has no scuffs, stains, smudges or tears. The book is free from marks or writing and has no bent or folded pages.

 

NEARLY NEW CONDITION refers to an almost perfect book that has a few minor imperfections or shows very slight wear. In some cases price tags may be present.

 

VERY GOOD USED CONDITION refers to an above average used book. It does have some signs of wear/handling. For books with dust jackets it may have some small tears or wear to it. This book is free of markings, folds or tears on pages.

 

GOOD USED CONDITION refers to average to slightly above average used book. This book may have small stains, tears, creases or slight shelf fading. This condition is not necessarily ideal for collectors but more than adequate for readers.

 

FAIR USED CONDITION refers to a below average used book. It shows hard usage and may have multiple tears or creases as well as stains. In most cases shelf fading is present. This condition is still usable by readers.

 

POOR CONDITION refers to a below average used book that has major damage.

 

EX-LIBRARY may be in nearly new condition but was obtained from a library. Typically library books include stamps or marks and are sometimes bound differently.
