New VHS Starring Anthony Hopkins and Russell Crowe.

First this is not a romantic comedy as the cover seems to show. It is a delightful film about a man (Hopkins) finding his heart. Hopkins plays an efficiency expert. He is truly interested in making companies work better, and saving the sagging Australian economy. Somehow the effect on the laid off workers buzzes by him. His partner realizes the damage to workers, but doesn't care, and in fact tweaks the numbers to cause union problems. Hopkins is slowly losing his marriage and finding drink more likable.

Then Mr. Ball (Played by that wonderful character actor Alwyn Kurts) contacts him to come out to his moccasin factory in Spotswood in Australia. When he arrives, he finds perhaps the worst run factory in the world, run by a group of people very incapable of producing nearly anything, let alone being efficient. The only exception is a young executive (Russell Crowe) who understands, and uses his fellows for his own advancements.

But here is the conflict, Mr. Ball loves these people, and Hopkins slowly comes to realize that profits are not the end all.  If you love Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, then you will love Spotswood or The Efficiency Expert as it was renamed, trying to cash in on Hopkin's Silence of The Lambs success. No Ghosts only great, well-rounded, characters to drive this film along.

Shipping Information.

We generally ship Monday through Friday, except for Postal Holidays.  We try to ship on the next business day after your payment clears either through paypal or the banks.  Foreign money orders and cashier's checks usually take 3 business days, as they must be accepted by the bank.  US money orders and cashier's checks are treated like cash for shipping the next business day.  Regular checks usually take 7 to 10 days to clear before we can ship.  All shipping is by US Postal Service, unless shown in the listing.  International shipping rates are only to countries that are members of the Global Priority Mail System.  That's most developed countries.  If your country doesn't belong to the GPM system, please write me for a shipping quote before bidding or ordering. Some countries have outragious rates.

Shipping & Handling.

Shipping is more than postage, it includes packages, packing, trips to the post office, and other time consuming items and costs.  It also includes reserves for returns by the UPSP.  If you have any questions, please email us before ordering.  We try to be fair with our customers.

We are in California.  We generally open about 10 a.m., and work through about 7 p.m..  During the day, we may be off line at distributors, suppliers, post office and lunch.  On Sundays we generally close to BBQ or go to a movie about 3 p.m..  We try to reply to all questions before we close for the night.  If you've sent us an email before our general closing time, and we don't reply, you might wish to resend.

What is Georgie's_Treasures?

We are primarily a liquidator.  Many of our selections, while new, are in shop worn boxes.   We get a lot of our product from stores changing their directions or discontinuing items.  Generally these have been picked at a bit, but the product is still new, only the package sucks.  We sell the product shown, not boxes.  If you are a collector, more interested in a box than what's inside, please write me first before bidding.  We also list items by the instant look-up on ebay. Sometimes the UPCs and ISBNs don't match up with the instant item, but the music is the same.
