Olive Wood Over Leather

Rare
Beautifully bound with front and back covers in olive wood over brown leather. Jerusalem Cross embossed on front cover. Leather spine with six individual crosses blind stamped between five raised bands. Leather turn-ins overlap head, tail and fore edge. Page outers are gilded on all sides. The olive wood is scratched with light scuffing and rubbing which blend into the aged appearance of the wood. Rubbing to spine, raised bands and all edges. No rips or tears or major defects. Semi-gloss, yellow endpapers; light wrinkling and minor spotting. Hinges are just starting to crack as shown in the picture below. Pages are lightly tanned. Title page has 1" separation at the bottom gutter. Very light rippling throughout and a few pages with tiny creases at top corner. Inside is clean, no spotting or foxing, and the binding is tight.
The
text is small, in two-columned pages with book references in the margins on both
sides. Includes six maps in color. A lovely little Bible.
