This is stated to be The People's Edition by the publisher. This is from the publisher's series of other P.E. titles at the time.

Condition

Sadly, the worst part of this historic collectible is that the cover has come loose from the interior. The interior pages are completely intact and square and connected together well.

The pages show some age tanning but no problems as every word is clear and crisp. Other than the loose boards, no pages are torn or damaged.

Inside the front cover is a book plate. Also, some large, flowing pencil marks were made inside the front cover, perhaps someone's name, at some point along the way.

On the boards at the spine, you can see through 3 worn-down openings in the spine to the inside page spine. Wear appears at the spine's ends as light fraying.

The front cover is amazing and is about as nice as whenthis rolled off the press. The reddish coloring is barely faded and the black design and letting is crisp and clear. The PEOPLE'S EDITION statement by the publisher in the center of the front cover is completely clear. The back cover board shows a couple of stains. No odors are present and no mildew has affected this volume.
