Description
This four-player Zelda connectivity adventure combines gameplay on both the GameCube and Game Boy Advance for a mix of competitive and cooperative multiplayer fun. By hooking up GBAs to the GameCube, the action will move from the television screen (when players are on the overworld map), to the GBA screen (when entering houses and caves). Players work together to brave 24 challenges in eight levels in Hyrule Adventure (1-4 players, multiplayer only with GBAs) or compete in 10 frantic multiplayer versus battles (2-4 players, GBAs required). Takes place in similar environments as the SNES classic Link to the Past, but features updated character sprites, new special effects, and overall improved graphics. The Japanese version included an additional mode, known as Navi Trackers.
Special Features
2D connectivity title, featuring three distinct gameplay modes Connect your GBA to the GameCube for unique action that takes place on both your TV and the GBA screen! Hyrule Adventure: Up to four players team up and slash, bomb, and hop their way through lavishly designed 2D levels, competing for top points, but collaborating to overcome the challenges in their way. Shadow Battle: frantic 2D overhead battle action for up to four players using traditional Zelda weapons and items. In Japanese version only: Navi Trackers - a scavenger hunt set in Hyrule. Up to four players hook up their GBAs and are then asked by Tetra (on the TV screen) to participate in a "stamp rally". The main action then takes place on the GBA screen, as players race through town and use items to collect stamps as quickly as possible. Hook up your GBA and compete against Tingle in Navi Trackers single-player Hyrule Adventure features 24 stages in eight worlds, and Shadow Battle and Navi Tracker each feature 10 different levels GBA units with link-up cables are required for multiplayer gameplay. Hyrule Adventure can also be played alone using a standard controller.
