The Look of the Old West by Foster-Harris 1955 10.5x8 inches 316 pages. This book goes into great detail on civil war clothes, arms and methods of doing things, describes many guns and their distinctions, shows different uniforms and insignias of north & south, describes knives, revolvers, transportation methods from mud-wagons to sternwheelers, shows and details various western trails like the Chisholm trail and more. It also shows clothing, farm machinery, lamps, housing and wind mills. My interest lies with the Native Americans and sadly there was little info in here for me. Two tears in the paper cover. Book is clean and in very good condition. No odors, no rips or scribbles to the pages. There is a private library stamp.
