This vintage primer  is in extremely good condition for its age.  It was published by The John C. Winston Company, Philadelphia and was first copyright in 1918 and 1920 by that   company.   It was written by Sidney G. Firman, then superintendent of schools in Glen Ridge New Jersey and Ethel Maltby of Corning, New York.   There is a little corner wear, and some light tan aging,  but  no tears, folds or inscriptions and the binding is tight. There are wonderful colorful illustrations by Frederick Richardson  throughout the book.  It measures just five and a half inches by seven and a half inches and is one hundred and sixteen pages long.
