This is an issue of The Record magazine dated January 1981.  This was an ultra-rare tabloid published by the folks that brought Rolling Stone magazine. Rod Stewart provides a  cover story with an interview entitled "Booze and Birds."

Here's some of the other highlights:

Lots of coverage of Rolling Stones 1981 tour, including a 2 page centerfold photo spread.

A 3/4 page ad for Elvis Costello's ALMOST BLUE album- "The Album They Almost Didn't Let Him Record"

Various articles on Foreigner, Bobby & Midnites (Bob Weir of Grateful Dead), Molly Hatchet, Garland Jeffreys, Chilliwack, Larry Fast, Bob Ezrin, David Bowie writing music for Cat People, Debbie Harry to be in Videodrome, The Outlaws,

Photos of Jerry Casale (Devo) with David Bowie, Frank Zappa and the winner of the  "Fine Girl" contest, mother of Ted Nugent, parents of Mick Jagger, birthday party for Yolanda- wife of Stevie Wonder, Lesley Gore & Lou Christie, Carly Simon (looking very sexy), Blondie with the Specials, and Jerry Lee Lewis

This is a 24 page tabloid magazine in great shape.   No markings, tears, or unusual creases.

BACKGROUND:

These auctions are being conducted by filmmaker Eric Predoehl to supplement funding for his upcoming documentary THE MEANING OF LOUIE, which will provide a comprehensive history of the world's most misunderstood rock and roll song- "LOUIE LOUIE." During the many years of research he's done on this project, he's assembled a significant archive of pop culture artifacts, including music magazines, books, records, laser discs, VHS tapes, and a lot of unusual memorabilia. As he goes about the task of downsizing this overwhelming collection, he'll be offering these items to the public via eBay. We'd like to encourage you to bookmark his auction page, as there will certainly be a lot of diverse items for sale in the future.
