This
is a phenomenal pencil landscape by the eminent artist William P. Sherlock,

and original work of art. The drawing is signed by the artist near the bottom
in the water with graphite pencil, marking its true authenticity. The artist’s
tremendous skill is evident in the way he uses pencil, bringing the scene to
life. This drawing was done on an exceptional light tan paper which allows the
pencil to stand out from a middle tone, giving it overall depth. Sherlock has
drawn a magnificent maritime seascape as expertly drawn people sit in the
nearest boat. Rolling waves crash against a docking station as the boats try to
reach it before the storm becomes too strong. The structure is drawn with
exceptional accuracy and intricate detail. Various boats and ships reside in
the distance, sailing on the enormous waves. The ships are drawn with excellent
creativity. His use of atmospheric perspective is astounding within this piece.

sophisticated and elegant as the viewer is led throughout the picture.

that enhances the drawing. The drawing is further protected by a layer of
acetate between the drawing and the mat. This terrific artwork is $1,600 and
