Movie description
An explosive meeting of the minds--and hearts--takes place in a rundown tenement in Danny Green's debut feature, where two artists struggle to express themselves despite their very different obstacles. Harry Lesser (Dylan McDermott) is a white, blocked writer who has been working on his novel for the past 10 years. Willie Spearmint (Snoop Dogg in a disconcertingly intense performance) is an uneducated militant determined to write a history of the black experience. The two expand each other's notions of artistry, becoming friends and ultimately rivals in both art and love. The film was shot in the famously haunted Ambassador Hotel in L.A., where Robert Kennedy was assassinated. Rose Byrne (WICKER PARK, TROY) co-stars.
