Marty Moran grew up Catholic in Colorado, where, beginning when he was 12, a camp counselor named Bob forced him into sex for three years, sometimes bringing his girlfriend along for threesomes. Finally, Moran found the courage to end these encounters, but the experience of abuse became the defining force in his life. Grown up and half of a committed gay couple, he continued to need secret sexual experiences, until, when they threatened to undermine his life, he tracked down Bob, found himself able to forgive, entered therapy, and salvaged his relationship with his lover. He writes about this journey with candid and unusual insight into both Bob and himself.
