Forced to leave the Clan and her young son, Ayla sets out alone to
travel the frigid steppes until she finds the valley of horses. Unable
to find people like herself, the Cro-Magnons, she settles there and
seeks friendship elsewhere. First she adopts a young filly, then a
wounded lion cub. But far to the west, two young Cro-Magnon brothers
have begun a journey. One of them is Jondalar, whose destiny is bound
inextricably with Ayla's. Copy in GC, pages slightly yellowed, previous owner's name on inside sleeve. We're
happy to combine post or shipping - Australian customers can buy up to
3 kilograms of books from the store and only pay $9.90 in postage. If a
book's postage is already quoted at $9.90, knock yourself out and make
up 3 kilos worth! Feel free to email if you want a quote on the weight
of books.
Outside
Australia, postage on items differs. Email for confirmation before
paying. I accept Paypal from overseas customers. Please don't post
cheques or money orders from outside Australia. It's a waste of time as
they can't be cashed.
NOTES ON BOOK CONDITION - New - A new book is unread, in print and in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages.
- As New - To be used only when the book is in
the same immaculate condition to which it was published. There can be
no defects, no missing pages, no library stamps, etc., and the
dustjacket (if it was issued with one) must be perfect, without any
tears.
- Excellent (E) - Approaches the condition
of As New, but without being crisp. For the use of the term Excellent, there
must also be no defects, etc., and if the jacket has a small tear, or
other defect, or looks worn, this should be noted.
- Very Good (VG) - Describes a book that does
show some small signs of wear - but no tears - on either binding or
paper. Any defects must be noted.
- Good (G) - Describes the average used worn book that has all pages or leaves present. Any defects must be noted.
- Fair - Worn book that has complete text pages
(including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers,
half-title, etc. (which must be noted). Binding, jacket (if any), etc.,
may also be worn. All defects must be noted.
- Poor - Describes a book that is
sufficiently worn, to the point that its only merit is as a Reading
Copy because it does have the complete text, which must be legible. Any
missing maps or plates should still be noted. This copy may be soiled,
scuffed, stained or spotted and may have loose joints, hinges, pages,
etc.
As a rule, we never list books with serious
damage such as loose or missing pages. Other faults will always be
described accurately. Thanks for reading through to the end!
