Like Quixote de la Mancha he lays his heart down,
Breath caught in his throat, brow creasing with frown.
Rust the only crimson his tired sword knows,
From sea to the mountains, wherever he goes,
His dreams raise your banner and call loud your name:
Dulcinea -- Sabrina -- the sound is the same.
His tired old charger carries him on.
He rides chasing windmills from dusk until dawn.
He pursues dragons, saves maidens most fair,
In each village he passes he pictures you there.
When morning awakens he faces each day
Knowing forever he must go on this way.
Crossing the meadows and forests and streams
Living life only for night time and dreams.
He keeps chaing devils that reach for his death,
They blind him and scar him and strangle his breath.
Torn, bleeding and dieing, he must struggle on.
Dulcinea will bind him. She'll sing him life's song.
He seeks out a castle, and knighthood, and fame.
He seeks Dulcinea -- or is Sabrina her name?
He stands his sole vigil the lonely night through;
Come morning he's knighted and then he sees you.
You're standing before him, he lays his heart down.
Dulcinea/Sabrina, he touches your gown.
He looks up, he reaches, he touches your face,
And just for a moment he bathes in your grace.
You're gone in an instant, he knows what it seems...
He knows that it's madness, it's only his dreams.
When he's old and he's weary and his days are but few,
He'll call, "Dulcinea"; he'll be remembering you!
little girl comes walking down
across the hillside green
place each footstep gently now
on stones - not in between
for once there lived a merry elf
this place he called his home
he built his castle worked all day
and tilled the sandy loam
but his foundation though made of stone
was built upon the sand
and huricane cold chill of death
that swept across the land
the devil's breath against god's own
the walls sent tumbling down
across the base step carefully
on stones and not around
for sand is soft and it might hurt
your dainty ankle twist
i beg of you step easy now
my dear take heed of this
the little elf is watching now
as fragrant petals pick
be quiet for a moment love
rest on moss's carpet thick
remember that day long ago
elf made his home here too
it takes you back to childhood
the elf the flower and you
New-born wind across the sky,
Blowing gently through the trees.
Clouds are forming, rain comes down,
Falling softly on the leaves.
Crickets silent, all is still,
And the birds no longer sing.
A little mouse is finding shelter
Underneath a fairy ring.
A storm is brewing, coming nearer,
Yes! I think it's here at last.
Lightning flashing, thunder rolling,
Now the rain is coming fast.
In a moment the fury's over
And the sun is shining through.
Puddles glisten, mist is rising,
Finally a rainbow shows its hue.
