We only accept PayPal for internet purchases. However we do accept Cash, Credit Cards and PayPal for payment and pick-up at our warehouse in Dallas, Texas USA. 

Full payment is due within 5 days. Items not paid within 5 days are subject to standard eBay "Non-Paid Item Dispute" procedures. PayPal buyers must have a VERIFIED account.

NOTE: If shipping to any address other than the address you have registered with eBay, please alert Designer Home Surplus by emailing the change to shipping@designerhomesurplus.com   - This is the only location we will check for any shipping address changes. Any  address changes stated only in the PayPal notes field WILL NOT be seen by our shipping department.

Many consumers are unfamiliar with the differences between regular shipping and freight shipping. While a lamp or CD can be easily shipped in a standard FedEx or UPS truck, the same cannot be said of a refrigerator or oven. The size, shape, weight and delicate nature of the internal components of any major appliance mean that it can’t be delivered through regular shipping. In fact, neither FedEx nor UPS will ship freight items.

In addition, the type of equipment used to handle these delicate and heavy items a specifically designed for the task, which greatly increases the cost of delivery. Fortunately for our customers, we offer FREE STANDARD SHIPPING/FREIGHT on all items to addresses in the lower 48 US states. This is significant since the price to ship an oven or refrigerator can cost hundreds of dollars. Still, freight shipping is very different than regular shipping and doesn’t include delivery to your home or installation. Locations like Alaska, HI, any of the Florida Keys and addresses in Canada are excluded from free shipping/freight.

Items deemed too large, heavy, fragile, or expensive to ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS will be sent via freight. Even though a tub does not weight much, its overall size will require us to ship via freight. Items shipped via freight will be shipped FREE from dock to dock. That means that our freight carrier will ship from our dock to their dock in the city closest to the buyer, or a dock that is specified by the buyer. It is then the buyer’s responsibility to arrange for pick-up from the dock, delivery and payment of any additional fees to deliver the item to their home address. 

For most freight carriers, the surcharge for “Home Delivery” or "Inside Delivery" does not mean that the appliance will be moved any further than your curbside or garage. We recommend that you arrange for qualified professionals to bring your high end appliance inside the home for installation. Any additional services like delivery to the buyer’s home or installation remain the buyer’s responsibility. Also note that a college campus does not qualify as a commercial address and most freight carriers will only ship to a campus with authorization from the university or college, not a student. 

Due to our shipping volume, we have negotiated special pricing for special deliveries from our freight carriers. Please contact us to inquire about other freight shipping options.
Items are shipped/freighted within 5 business days of payment. Notification before purchase is required for express or delayed shipping.

PayPal requests sellers to only ship items to a confirmed address; however, some common carrier residential driveway drop deliveries may not be available to all confirmed address destinations due to size, weight, location, or ease of access. This means that if our carrier is unable to deliver the item to your confirmed address, you may not be able to pay using PayPal. Depending on the item, selling price, and buyer's feedback, we reserve the right to waive this preference and ship the item to an unconfirmed address for payments made with PayPal verified accounts. Please email us with any questions regarding this policy.

Terms

Items are sold as-is, and are described to the best of our ability. They consist of new in box (NIB), new out of box (NOB), new old stock (NOS), "scratch and dent", and customer returns.  Designer Home Surplus is not responsible for any damage incurred after the item leaves the warehouse, and we provide FREE FREIGHT INSURANCE for freight items only. 

We do not offer warranties on our items other than the 7 day return policy. Please, note that we are not an authorized dealer of this product and any warranty included with the product may not be honored by the manufacturer. We encourage buyers to purchase an extended warranty and we can certainly make recommendations. Please contact us for more information on extended warranties.

Most of the products we sell are new in the box and it is assumed they function properly when they leave us.

Returns

Our goal is to have happy customers and build long term relationships. If you bought something from us and you don’t like it, return it in 7 days NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Keep in mind that all items are sold as is and as described, so If you are not sure, please ask before bidding. Returns are accepted within 7 days of receipt and approved before return and the buyer must have a Return Authorization Number (RMA). Items must be returned with all parts, packing materials and documentation, and must be returned in the same condition they were received. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping and freight costs and all freight items must be returned using our approved freight carriers. We don’t charge re-stocking fees.
