Importance of a Soap Dish
Handmade soap contains all its natural glycerin. Because it has no harsh chemicals and other preservatives, handmade soap is not as hard as mass-produced bars which has had the glycerin removed. However, natural soap can last just as long as commercial soap if you remember not to let the bar sit in water for long periods. To prevent the soap from dissolving quickly, a good soap dish is important. Use wooden ones with grooves or slots at the base, to allow excess water to drain from the bar. If you don’t use a dish, at least try standing the soap on edge after use, so the least amount of surface is in contact with any puddles.

 Cleanse
Dermatologists stress the importance of cleaning your skin with a Gentle Pure Soap. The majority of ‘soaps’ that you find on your supermarket shelves are not soap at all. They are actually detergents containing animal fats, petroleum products (irritating to people with sensitive skin), esters (known carcinogenics), alcohols (which dry your skin), low grade oils, waxes and fillers. Your body sees those chemicals as toxins. In addition they contain skin irritating synthetic fragrances, colorants, foaming agents and preservatives (allergens).
Dermatologists agree that such harsh surfactants (detergents) toxins and allergens are largely responsible for their patients' skin damage. Such toxins and allergens can actually damage skin's lipid bi-layer. In fact, dryness, imperfections and tears in the skin's surface, all result from harsh surfactants and is the second leading cause of acute skin damage after sun exposure.

Exfoliate
Daily exfoliation is important for everyone, but for acne and blemish sufferers, it is absolutely critical for reducing outbreaks and scarring.
Skin's top layer (the epidermis) renews itself every month or so, constantly sloughing off the dead skin cells and replacing them with new cells rising from underneath. This process, which keeps skin looking fresh and young, slows down with age; regular exfoliation helps compensate by speeding up cell turnover to soften fine lines, wrinkles and to brighten dull skin.

The benefits of natural botanical moisturizers are that your skin is  nourished with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and humectants. Our soaps contain herbal extracts such as aloe vera, green tea, and chamomile (to name only a few). Most importantly, they are Rich in Glycerin, a natural by-product of the soap making process. It is a humectant, meaning it attracts moisture to the skin. This fact makes it a very prized and valuable emollient but is extracted from commercial soaps during manufacture to be used in their more profitable moisturizing lotions and creams, leaving the hard, drying bars of soap sold commercially.

If you want to get a better skin tone and complexion you need to nourish your skin - and this is one of the best anti aging tips you can utilize.
If you are intent on keeping your skin looking young for as long as possible, you need to nourish it. Key nutrients and vitamins help prevent and reverse many of the signs of aging caused by sun exposure, pollution, and dryness.
BUT: They are effective only when applied directly to your skin's surface.
Why not take them by mouth? It turns out that no matter how balanced your diet, there's no guarantee the anti-aging benefits will actually reach your skin -- they may be preoccupied elsewhere in the body. As Mary Lupo, M.D., a clinical professor of dermatology at Tulane University in New Orleans explains; "The needs of our internal organs, especially those of the cardiovascular system, most likely trump the skin's." Applied topically, however, these nutrients can penetrate the top layer of skin so their benefits can be directed toward the complexion.
Most of these nutrients and vitamins act as antioxidants, protecting the skin from free radicals, which are unstable molecules that wreak havoc on healthy cells and are the source of much of the damage that leads to skin aging and cancer. From improving skin texture and tone to reducing sunspots and under-eye circles, "there is scientific data that shows specific anti-aging benefits of each of the topically applied vitamins," says Lupo, who published a review of topical vitamins in "Clinics in Dermatology". HOW IT WORKS: “Vitamin E has earned the moniker "the protector" due to its potent ability to guard cells from free-radical damage and to inhibit inflammation. Research conducted over the past 20 years has documented this vitamin's antioxidant abilities. In one study, it reduced by nearly half the number of free radicals created after exposure to cigarette smoke. Other research has shown that when vitamin E is used before sun exposure, there is less redness and swelling, less  destruction of lipids, and fewer sunburned cells. Further investigations have found that vitamin E's anti-inflammatory action can kick in to reduce damage after sun exposure. Also, because it's an oily material, vitamin E prevents moisture loss that leads to dryness and irritation.”
