What makes a trivet a Lantz design? It's the Paw Feet!
These designs date to the 1880s-1930s, although a few reproductions continued to be made into the 1940s. Those reproduced after 1950 were usually signed.
Lantz #1: Curvy Arrows 5.625 x 075" with four paw feet 7.25 ounces Nice casting; No damage 2 filed gate-marks along one edge
Lantz #6: Open Center 4.875 x 0.625" with four paw feet 7 ounces Two pronounced gate-marks along rim Piece of metal fin on one of the paw feet No damage
3 Footed Lantz: Lantz Style Trivet with Straight Arrows 5.5 x 0.5" with three paw feet 11.5 ounces Two gate-marks along scalloped edge Note that there are two cracks (1/4 and 1/2") along the outer rim, more visible on the reverse. ~ A less common Lantz design ~
