Set of Three Art Deco Trio's
by Burleigh Ware with Cake Plate
"Pan" Pattern - circa 1930's

This set of three Art Deco Trio's consists of 3 Cups, 3 Saucers, 3 Square Dessert Plates and 1 Square Cake Plate for a total of 10 pieces. The pattern PAN is based on the Greek God of the fields and forests and is represented having the legs, horns and ears of a goat. This set is quite whimsical with Pan playing a double flute while sitting under a tree with mushrooms in the foreground. In green, yellow, black and grey on a cream coloured background. All pieces show wear to the over glaze with some flaking of applied colours and crazing.

Measurements:
Cups: 2 3/8 inches high x 4 3/8 inches wide (including handle).
Saucers: 5 1/2 inch diameter.
Dessert Plates : 6 3/4 inch diameter
Cake Plate : 8 3/4 inches wide x 9 1/2 inches wide (handle to handle).

Marked: Burleigh Ware, Est 1851, B & L Ltd., Made in England, Reg. Trade Mark.
Some also have Pan in a circle with Made in England and shape numbers.

Great condition - No chips, cracks or repairs.
All pieces show wear to the over glaze with some flaking of applied colours and crazing. One plate shows glazed over very tiny factory chip.
