Thule Audio
is now very proud of introducing the new, second generation, surround
processor / preamplifier: Space PR350B. While similar looking, on the
face, one glance at the rear and you will notice significant changes.
Thule has
incorporated the newest technology in the form of a new DSP (56367)
from Motorola, together with all the experience and know-how obtained
from manufacturing sophisticated surround equipment for more than three
years. In Thule's new surround processor, you will find that all of
today’s relevant surround formats can be decoded, such as DTS ES, Dolby
EX compatible, DTS 6.1 discrete, DTS 5.1 24bit/96KHz, Dolby Pro Logic
II. This advanced decoding can create a matrix of both the front and
back surround speakers giving you the option for two center side
speakers as well as a matrix of the rear surround speakers for a center
rear speaker. In addition, all the original formats remain to provide
you with a simple, yet versatile playback system.
The latest
designed PCM1738 high-end Burr-Brown hybrid D/A converters have been
implemented on all 10 output channels, featuring 24 bit processing,
improving even old-fashioned 16 bit CD’s considerably. These wonderful
new converters provide as much as 117db dynamic range! A trademark of
Thule Audio’s surround products has always been the communication
available between pre and power amplifiers. Thule has also
looked at the demands in the market, and have developed new
possibilities for the user. They have developed a complete second zone
management center, and the PR350B can operate through an RS 232
compatible home automation system. On the input side, Thule has
listened to the market and taken the Pure Audio input a step further.
Now you can chose from either 6 analogue unbalanced inputs or two
balanced inputs, all bypassing the DSP and providing true audiophile
grade signal path. This provides a perfect source for SACD or DVD audio
players.
When fitted with the optional component video board, the
PR350B includes 2 discrete component video inputs and a component video
output. The scalar circuitry allows mixing the S-video or composite
video at a significant improvement of picture quality, eliminating the
need for external video processing devices.
