Thunder Horse Native American Flute - Gorgeous Walnut!!

It is with very mixed feelings that I am listing 2 beautiful Douglas Thunderhorse flutes, but I do not play them, and don't have room to display them, so they have sadly been spending their time safely tucked away in a drawer. These beautiful flutes were meant to be played and appreciated, and I have other things I need to pay off, so I have finally decided to let them go (see additional listing for the other Thunderhorse flute I am parting with).

This flute was purchased in November of 2007, and is in like new condition (maybe played a grand total of 30 minutes!). Following is the description from the original Douglas Thunderhorse listing I purchased this from:

  "This is some of the most beautiful Walnut that I have ever worked with! I spent many years as a cabinetmaker and this piece of wood really left me speechless as it began to take shape into a flute. The lighter colored sapwood formed perfectly into the fingerboard as the flute came to life in my hands, along the sides the gentle curl of the grain made itself known. A perfect flute for a deep soulful voice.   Tuned in the minor scale of low C, the rich, warm voice resonates gently, soulfully through the one-inch bore. The melody comes to life with dignity and respect for the spirit of the wood it flow through.   A strong pony hand carved from the same tree with a flowing mane of Antique Red Cedar completes the instrument with style and grace. A one of a kind flute, simple, yet elegant.   The instrument is signed, dated and numbered for the year.   This beautiful flute measures 26 ½ inches in length."
