Purchase with confidence as I have been selling this model TiVo for over 3 years now, look at my feedback for my TiVo-HD sales.

I am now offering a two year Hard Drive warranty on the WD 1Tb green drive I am using, see below for the details.

Note: many E-Bay sellers are selling the close out TiVo-HDs from Sears and other stores, the Sears TiVo-HD may be NIB but were made in 2007 or earlier and have an older PROM on the mother board. The TiVo-HDs I am selling are all new stock made in October or later of 2009, the hard drives I am now using were all made in 2009

If you purchase this new in the box upgraded TiVo-HD TCD652160  DVR you will get a new production run of TiVos made in Octomber of 2009 or newer with the updated PROM V1.06 or newer, not the older V1.04 or V1.05 PROM.  (The production date is on the back of the TiVo itself near the AC power input )

This TiVo has over 1360 hours of basic record time or 157 hours HD record time and you will have lifetime (plus) TiVo Service already activated on the unit when you receive it. Then just set up the TiVo-HD using your ZIP code and call TiVo to move the unit to your own TiVo account (new or existing) at no extra cost. The system information screen on this TiVo shows 157 hours of HD record time, the same record time as the new TiVo-HDXL

Remember Lifetime (Plus) Service when available for any TiVo can cost $399 (plus sales tax in many states); with Lifetime Service you will not ever have to pay TiVo any monthly payment (plus sales tax in many states) for the TiVo service (The TiVo service is now $12.95/month with a one year TiVo contract). This means you will never have to pay for the TiVo guide service for the life of this TiVo.

This TiVo has been just fully tested with the upgraded hard drive that has a 3 year warranty using a new WD green 1TB drive so it uses less power, therefore runs cooler and is very quiet. The 1TB Hard Drive that TiVo is supplying on the TiVo-HDXL has a cache of only 2MB, the WD green 1TB drives that I supply all have a cache of 32Mb 16 times bigger, that bigger cache reduces the work load on the hard drive.

This HD-TiVo is set up with software V11d (or higher) that can take advantage of the Amazon.com Unbox movie download service (now in HD), the Netflex movie download service, the Rhapsody service, the YouTube service, BlockBuster download service, and Multi Room viewing/TiVo-to-go service, all on your TV(s)

Because this unit has V11d (or newer) TiVo software on it, you can enter postal codes from Canada

The TiVo has been put back into its original packing and original retail box and will be shipped double boxed for your protection.

Accessories

The accessory box is sealed (never opened) so you will get the original new accessories that comes with this TiVo-HD

This unit can be set up without using a phone line if you have an Internet connection using a direct connection from your router to the RJ45 jack on the back of the TiVo. (You can also use an optional TiVo USB wireless adapter) You can still use a phone line if needed.

If you don't want the Square Trade full warranty, I am offering a two year Hard Drive replacement warranty for $35, because the hard drives have such a small % that fail you don't pay me up front for this warranty, only if we decide that your problem is the hard drive, then you will be given instructions to send the TiVo back to me (with a check for $35) and i will replace the hard drive with a new one and send the TiVo back out to you. (I will use my time to get the replacement drive). In the very unlikely event that I find that the problem is not the hard drive, one option that will be open to you is for me to send the TiVo back to you with your $35 check.
